Above 69 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 5 PM in the second phase of Gujarat Assembly elections. The Election Commission officials said that the percentage may increase as voters are still standing in polling booths to cast their votes.
Polling is taking place under tight security and it is by and large peaceful. AIR correspondent reports that an incident of firing has been reported from Panchmahal district in which three youth were injured. BJP and Congress have accused each other for this incident.
