Fourteen Somali pirates and 3 Yemen nationals have been detained by Gujarat police. They had been arrested off Saurashtra coast near Una in Junagadh district. According to the police, the group had landed ashore in a boat after it ran out of fuel. The group was first spotted by the villagers along the coast, who alerted the authorities. Quoting police sources, AIR Correspondent reports, the group had been adrift on the high seas for around a fortnight. The Yemeni nationals have revealed the identities of the 14 Somali pirates to the authorities.
