In Gujarat, a constable from Junagadh district has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of RTI activist and green crusader Amit Jethwa in Ahemdabad. DCP (crime), Himanshu Shukla said Bahadursinh Wadher was posted in the Gir-Gadhada region of Junagadh. According to sources, the crime branch has detained couple of other persons and is questioning them on the case. While, Amit Jethwa had filed a public interest litigation (PIL) against illegal mining in Gir forest region in the High Court few days before he was shot dead by two unknown motorcycle-borne assailants in July this year.
