In Gujarat, the police has arrested 18 more Somali pirates along with three other African nationals of the Dwarka coast in Jamnagar district. Quoting police sources, our Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that apart from 18 Somali pirates, two Yemenis and one Tanzanian have also been arrested. After the primary interrogation, police claimed that Somali pirates had hijacked the Yemen’s fishing boat with its fishermen to loot other vessels before it developed technical snags and drifted towards the Saurashtra Coast. Our Correspondent adds that this is second incident in a week after 14 Somali pirates arrested from Una Coast in Junagadh district last week.
