State Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel said the state government has taken various steps to check the spread of the disease. Over 8 lakhs of healthy cattle have been vaccinated to prevent the spread of the disease. A state-level task force has been formed to examine the spread of the disease. <br />''<br />''The minister added that a state-level control room has also been started to monitor the situation. He said committees will be formed under the chairmanship of District Collectors in affected districts. The district officials and chairmen of District Milk Producers Cooperative Unions will also be part of the committees. The infection has spread in nearly 20 districts of the state mostly in Saurashtra and North Gujarat region. So far, more than 1240 cattle have died due to Lumpy Skin disease in the state.</span><br />
