In Gujarat, the Minister for Agriculture, Irrigation and water supply Babu Bokhiria was on Saturday convicted in illegal mining case by Porbandar court.

First Class Judicial Magistrate announced 3 years imprisonment to Babu Bokhiria and three others in connection with illegal mining of lime stone worth Rs. 54 crore.

Court has granted 7 days bail to Babu Bokhiria to allow him to appeal in the higher court against the conviction.
