Gujarat, Maharashtra celebrate foundation day today; President, Vice President and PM Modi greet people of two states on the occasion

<span style="color: #222222;">President Ram Nath Kovind has extended greetings to all the people of Gujarat on the occasion of its foundation day. In a tweet, Mr Kovind said that Gujarat, the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel is among the leading states of the country on the parameters of development. He said, the hardworking people and entrepreneurs of the State have given Gujarat and India a new identity on the global stage. He wished the State continued progress.<br />'' <br />'' The President also extended his greetings to the people of Maharashtra on its foundation day. He said, great personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Phule and Babasaheb have enriched Maharashtra and India with their contributions. He added that Maharashtra has an important contribution in the economic development of the nation.<br />'' <br />'' Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has extended greetings to the people of Gujarat on their state formation day. In a tweet, Mr Naidu said that known for its spiritual heritage, iconic monuments and diverse wildlife, Gujarat has contributed immensely to the growth of the nation. He wished the state continue its rapid strides for development.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Naidu also extended greetings to the people of Maharashtra on their state formation day. He said, Maharashtra, known for its rich history, scenic beauty and vibrant culture has played an important role in national development.<br />'' <br />'' Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the people of Gujarat on Gujarat's Foundation Day today. He said, inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel and several other greats, the people of Gujarat are widely admired for their diverse accomplishments. He wished that may Gujarat keep progressing in the coming years.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Modi also extended best wishes to the people of Maharashtra on Maharashtra Day. He said, this state has made phenomenal contributions to national progress. The Prime Minister said the people of the state have excelled in diverse fields. He prayed for the prosperity of the people of Maharashtra.<br />'' <br />'' Gujarat is celebrating its 62nd foundation day today. The day- is being celebrated as "Gujarat Gaurav Divas" with a series of programs. The main function has been organized in Patan district of North Gujarat in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. According to official sources, 429 development works worth 369 crore rupees have been launched or inaugurated in Patan district on this occasion.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel have greeted the people of Gujarat on its foundation day today. The day is being celebrated as a Gujarat Gaurav Diwas. The state came into existence after the bifurcation of erstwhile Bombay state in 1960. Since then, Gujarat has registered all round development.<br />'' <br />'' The Series of development works have been launched in the historic Patan district of north Gujarat. The Chief Minister also dedicated the Regional Science Center- in Patan completed at the cost of 100 crore rupees.<br />'' <br />'' The highlights of this center are the land of Dinosaurs and the galleries of Hydroponics, Nobel Prize, Chemistry, optics and human science. Such four Regional Science Centers are being developed in different parts of the state. Cultural programs were also organized in Patan on this occasion.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, 'Maharashtra Din', 62nd foundation day of Maharashtra State is being celebrated all over the state and in areas where Marathi Speaking community is based all over the world with enthusiasm. Various programs have been organized to commemorate the traditions and culture of Maharashtra.  <br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, Before 1960, the then Bombay state had people speaking various languages like Marathi, Gujarati, kutchi and Konkani. Sanyukt Maharastra Andolan started demanding separate state for Marathi-speaking people. 105 Hutatme did supreme sacrifice for separate state called Maharashtra. In 1960 on the same day, the existing state of Maharashtra was formed after the Bombay Reorganization Act was passed by Parliament.<br />'' <br />'' Today, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray paid homage to these Hutatme at Hutatma Smarak in Mumbai. Governor Bhagatsingh Koshyari unfurled the National Flag at Shivaji Park in Dadar and inspected the Ceremonial Parade.<br />'' <br />'' In his speech, the Governor proudly mentioned that Maharashtra stands second in the Export Preparedness Index (EPI) released by the Niti Aayog and in the Union government's "Good Governance Index report- 2021. He also said that Maharashtra is all set to become a one trillion Dollar economy and it will be the first state in the country to do so. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The state government is following -up the matter with the union government for providing the status of classical language to Marathi, he added.  While Congratulating citizens, Chief Minister appealed, To stay away from the peoples who are trying to disturb the communal harmony of the state. </span>
