The Gujarat High Court has admitted an appeal seeking to enhance punishment filed by the Supreme Court appointed Special Investigation Team, SIT in the 2002 Naroda Patiya riots case.

A division bench of Justice Jayant Patel and Justice ZK Saiyed on Monday admitted the appeal against sixteen accused, including Bajrang Dal leader Babu Bajrangi and also condoned the delay in filing the appeal.
