<span style="color: #222222;">The Gujarat Government has released the standard operating procedures SOPs for byelections of 8 assembly seats in the state. Polling is scheduled to be held on 3rd November while counting of votes will take place on the 10th of November.<br />'' <br />'' Following the issuance of guidelines from the Election Commission of India, the state home department has issued a standard operating protocol SOPs in view of Covid-19 pandemic. These guidelines will remain effective during the entire election process including poll campaigning. According to these guidelines, maximum 200 persons will be allowed to assemble in a closed auditorium with a 50 percent limit of the total capacity. In the open spaces, the participants will have to maintain a distance of at least six feet from each other. Only five persons including candidates will be allowed to participate in the door to door campaign. Election commission has also appointed state and district level nodal officers to monitor the implementation of election related Covid19 guidelines. Eight seats where by-polls are going to be held are Abdasa, Limbdi, Morbi, Dhari, Karjan, Gadhada SC and Dang and Kaprada ST seats.</span><br />
