Gujarat govt. orders Oxygen producing units to give first priority to medical oxygen supply

<span style="color: #222222;">Gujarat Government has ordered the Oxygen producing units to give first priority to medical oxygen supply. According to public notification issued yesterday, the oxygen producing units can supply only 50 per cent oxygen for industrial use. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, according to the notification, the first priority has to be given to medical oxygen during the urgency. Breach of this notification will invite six months imprisonment and fine under section 188 of IPC. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Commissioner of Food and Drug Control Administration Dr. H.G. Koshia said that present utilization of medical oxygen in Gujarat is around 250 tons. The demand of medical oxygen is increasing following the coronavirus pandemic. The producers have been asked to produce oxygen at full capacity. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Urgency of Medical Oxygen supply came into light, when Ahmedabad based one private hospital had shifted 8 COVID-19 patients to the Government hospital on Thursday evening due to non-availability of Medical Oxygen.</span><br />
