In Gujarat, four infants died Wednesday afternoon following administration of measles vaccine in a government hospital in Gandhidham.Quoting district administration sources, AIR Bhuj correspondent reports that seven infants were administered measles vaccines in the hospital. The condition of three infants are out of danger. The state government has ordered an inquiry into the incident and announced an ex Gratia payment of one lakh rupees to the parents of the infants. The government has also withdrawn the entire stock of the measles vaccines from different hospitals.
