Gujarat govt asks Kumbh Mela returnees to self-isolate, undergo Covid-19 test

<span style="color: #222222;">In Gujarat, the people coming back from the Kumbh Mela will be tested for Covid19 infections and isolated. This was announced by the Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at Jamnagar yesterday. He said that all district collectors have been instructed to follow these guidelines strictly. Mr. Rupani was in Kutch and Jamnagar districts to review the Covid19 situations.<br />'' <br />'' New cases of Covid19 continue to surge in Gujarat. AIR correspondent reports that Gujarat has recorded 9541 new cases of Covid19 yesterday. Maximum 3241 new cases reported from Ahmedabad, while Surat recorded 1720 new cases.<br />'' <br />'' 3783 patients recovered and were discharged from the various hospitals. 97 patients lost their lives yesterday.
