The state still has 6,588 active patients of COVID-19 out of which 63 are on ventilator support. The mortality rate in the state remains alarming. The death toll crosses 800 mark yesterday. Meanwhile, the recovery rate in Ahmedabad has improved by around 140 per cent in the past two weeks which is a good sign.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar Gupta said the civic administration has asked 42 private hospitals to provide 50 percent beds for the treatment of COVID-19. The number of cases in the city continues to rise. The mortality rate in Ahmedabad is also highest in the state. So far, the city reported a total of 9,724 cases and 645 deaths. </span><br />
