Gujarat Governor, Dr. Shrimati Kamala Beniwal has asked the State Government to furnish details of expenditure incurred on Chief Minister Narendra Modi's three-day Goodwill fast. The fast was held at the convention Hall of Gujarat University in Ahmedabad last week.The Governor wrote a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary of the general administrative department to provide the details of expenditure. AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that the Governor's move comes after Chief Minister Narendra Modi alleged in a rally held on Sunday evening, that the Congress was trying to run a parallel government through Rajbhavan.According to reports, the Gujarat government had spent around Rs 55 crore rupees on the Chief Minister’s three day fast. Earlier, the leader of Maha Gujarat Janata Party Mr.Gordhan had submitted a memorandum to the Governor in this regard. BJP has already demanded the removal of Governor on the issue of appointment of Lokayukta in the state without consulting the state Government.
