<span style="color: #222222;">Gujarat Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai presented the state budget for the financial year 2024-25 in the Assembly today. The total outlay of the budget is Rs 3,32,465 which is the highest ever so far. No new tax or hike in the existing tax system has been introduced in the budget. The Minister announced several new schemes including the Namo Lakshmi scheme for adolescent girls and the Namo Shri scheme for pregnant and lactating mothers in the budget. The government has also announced Anganwadi 2.0 scheme in which 8000 new smart Anganwadis will be built and 20 thousand Anganwadis will be upgraded to smart Anganwadis. Seven new municipal corporations will be set up. The budget also announced plans to expand the road, transport, and tourism infrastructure in the state. The government also unveiled plans for the development of connectivity at GIFT City.</span><br />
