In Gujarat, the Economic Revival Committee headed by former Union Finance Secretary Dr. Hasmukh Adhia submitted its final report to the Chief Minister Vijay Rupani yesterday. The six member committee submitted as many as 231 suggestions focusing on the long-term and short-term strategies for the economic revival of the state post-COVID-19 pandemic.<br />'' <br />''AIR correspondent reports that the suggestions focus on strengthening of infrastructure, resources development, strategy for attracting investment including Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and fiscal management strategies. The committee stresses on Land monetization as a tool for immediate boost. The committee recommended the State Government to come out with Water Meter Policy for all the Municipal Corporations and implement it within a year.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The committee said about 53 services of Urban Development Department may be made online on eNagar platform as early as possible to promote faceless administration. The other suggestions include privatization in public transport system, Using EWS land pockets and Construction Workers Fund to create large scale rental housing on PPP basis and encouraging self-assessment and self-declaration in the Property Tax assessment.</span><br />
