<span style="color: #222222;">In Gujarat, the number of Covid 19 cases crossed 6,000-mark yesterday after 441 fresh cases yesterday. State Health Department said this is the highest single-day positive cases in the state so far. With 49 patients succumbed to the infection yesterday, the total death toll in the state rose to 368. Ahmedabad remains the worst affected due to Covid 19 with 349 new cases and 39 deaths reported from the city yesterday.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Secretary Anil Mukim held an emergency meeting with senior officials and reviewed the situation in the state. AIR correspondent reports that Senior IAS officer Rajiv Kumar Gupta was appointed for supervision and coordination of Covid 19 related activities in the Ahmedabad as the city is worst affected. City Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra self-quarantined himself yesterday after coming in contact with Covid 19 patients.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Principal Secretary Department of Health Dr Jayanti Ravi said the rate of recovery is increasing in the state. As many as 186 patients were discharged from various hospitals in the state of which 84 were discharged from Ahmedabad alone. Meanwhile, 32 of the total 33 districts have been affected by Covid 19 so far. Amreli is the only district which does not report any positive case.</span><br />''  <br />
