Gujarat: CM Bhupendra Patel held review meeting over Covid19 situation in the state

<span style="color: #222222;">Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today held a high-level meeting and reviewed the Covid19 situation in the state. The meeting was held following the rising trend in new cases of Covid19 and the spread of the Omicron variant in the state. According to official sources, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that 70 thousand tests are being carried out in the state on a daily basis. He said that 85 percent of eligible persons have been covered for two doses, while 95 percent have been covered under the first dose of vaccine. The arrangements of testing of people coming from abroad and their contact tracing have also been reviewed during this meeting. Meanwhile, Gujarat is witnessing a rising trend of new cases of Covid19 infections. 91 new cases have been recorded in Gujarat yesterday. 9 new cases of Omicron variant were also confirmed yesterday, taking the total cases of Omicron in the state to 23.</span><br />
