In Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today initiated the assistance distribution to the farmers in the state on the purchase of smartphones. Mr. Patel today distributed the assistance of Rs.1.48 lakh to 33 farmers in presence of the Agriculture Minister and Ministers of State.<br />''<br />''Addressing the occasion, CM said with the use of smartphones agricultural information, weather updates, and knowledge of areas like loan-aid-seeds will be just a click away for the farmers. He said under this initiative, Rs 3 crore 37 lakh will be given to around 5 thousand 900 farmers across the state.<br />''<br />''Mr. Patel reiterated that farmers have been a priority of the government and will continue to be so in the future.  He said that the government is committed towards taking the digital revolution to the doorstep of the farmers and the government is widely promoting the use of Drone Technology in Agriculture – Natural Farming for Healthy Living – Zero Budget Farming.<br />
