National Handloom Day is being celebrated in Gujarat with some special outreach programs. Directorate of Field Publicity has organized two such programs in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad to highlight the schemes of Ministry of Textile and Good Governance. The first such program has been organized at Central University of Gujarat at Gandhinagar this morning. The second program to observe the National Handloom day will be held at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad IIMA tomorrow. AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that quiz, talks with weavers and experts and 'weavathon' for design competition have been organized on this occasion.
