The festival -popularly called Uttarayan in Gujarat to mark the Sun’s transition towards northern Hemisphere. AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that the people of Gujarat is enjoying kite flying since early this morning and eating Undhihyu- jalebi and sweet Chikis. Meanwhile, the Ahmedabad based Kite lover Umang Thakkar has planed to fly 10 feet huge Kite with one thousand Tukkals-(small lanterns) from the top of city’s Revolving Hotel Patang. The event has been planned for the noble cause of disable and blind people, which will also become a unique record.
