Gujarat by-polls: 102 nominations found valid after scrutiny

According to election commission, the maximum 20 valid nominations have been found in Morbi assembly constituency, while Kaprada assembly seat have minimum four valid candidates.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Apart from ruling BJP and opposition Congress party, the smaller parties like Bahujan Mukti Party, Bharatiya Jana Parishad, Bahujan Maha Party, Vyavastha Parivartan Party, Yuva Jan Jagruti Party, Rashtravadi Jan Chetna Party have also fielded their candidates apart from large number of independents. The Bharatiya Tribal Party has also fielded their candidates from Karjan and Dang SC seats. All five Congress MLAs who joined the BJP earlier this year after resigning as legislators have been fielded by the BJP from the Abdasa, Morbi, Dhari, Karjan and Kaprada assembly seats. while, seven out of eight Congress candidates are contesting for the first time. Polling will be held on 3rd November while counting of votes will take place on 10th. </span><br />
