The budget session of the Gujarat State Legislative Assembly begins today. State Finance Minister Mr. Vajubhai Vala will present the budget for the year 2011-12 tomorrow. AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that Mr. Ganpat Vasava, a BJP MLA from Mangrol in Surat district, will be the next speaker of Gujarat assembly. Mr. Vasava has filed his nomination for the speaker’s post on Wednesday. A 39 year old tribal MLA Mr.Vasava is the only candidate to file the papers and likely to elected unopposed.. The Speaker’s post became vacant after the death of Shri Ashok Bhatt. Apart from Speaker’s election, the Governor Dr. Kamala will address the house on the first day today. Session will continue up to 30th March. More than a month long session is likely to remain stormy on the various issues.
