Gujarat assembly’s monsoon session begins today

The two day long monsoon session of Gujarat Assebmly began on Monday in Gandhinagar. The first day's proceeding was adjourned after paying obituaries to the late sitting and former members of the house. The house also paid rich tribute to the former Vice President late Shri Bhairavsinh Shekhawat. AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that the second day's proceedings is likely to be stormy as the house is meeting for the first time after the arrest of former minister of state for home Amit Shah in connection of Sohrabuddin Shaikh fake encounter. Government is also likely to reintrodue the compulsory voting bill in the house, which was returned by the Governor for reconsideration.
