Gujarat Assembly is all set to ratify the Constitution Amendment Bill on Goods and Services Tax , GST.<br/><br/>In Gujarat, two-day special session on GST will begin from today. Our correpondent quoting sources, the bill will be tabled in the house on the first day while discussion and voting if necessary will be take place on the second day.<br/><br/>Our correspondent reports that The session is important as the Central government has set a deadline of first April next year for its rolling out of GST. Apart from GST constitutional amendment bill, the elections of Speaker and Deputy Speaker will also be taken up during the session. Opposition Congress will also try to raise burning issues of the state including alleged Dalit atrocities<br/><br/>The Monsoon session of Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi Assemblies will begin today.<br/>? In Uttar? Pradesh?, the GST bill is expected to be taken up in the state legislature for ratification. In an all Party meeting in Lucknow yesterday, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav appealed to all the political parties to extend their cooperation in smooth running of the both houses.<br/>In Himachal Pradesh, the session will commence in capital Shimla this afternoon. Quoting sources, our correspondent reports that GST bill is expected to be taken up in the Assembly for ratification.<br/><br/>The sittings of the monsoon session are likely to be stormy. Opposition BJP would try to corner Virbhadra Singh government on various important issues. Assembly Speaker Brij Behari Lal Butail has appealed leaders of Congress and BJP to cooperate in smooth functioning of session. He has also called an all-party meeting today. Separate meetings of both parties' legislatures were held last night to formulate strategy for this session.<br/><br/>AAP government in Delhi is likely to place the Goods and Services Tax Bill for ratification before Assembly during its four day session beginning today.
