Gujarat Assembly speaker and senior BJP leader Ashok Bhatt passed away last night at a hospital in Ahmedabad following multiple organ failure. He was 71. Bhatt was undergoing treatment at the SAL hospital for the last 20 days after he had developed complications in the functioning of the heart and other vital organs like kidney and liver. He was on life support system for the last three days.
