The Planning Commission today finalized an annual plan outlay worth of 38,000 crore rupees for Gujarat for the year 2011-12. The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held in New Delhi between the Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Chief Minister of Gujarat Mr. Narendra Modi. In his comment, Mr. Ahluwalia said that the State Government’s performance in sectors including agriculture, education and power is appreciable. He also said, that appreciable performance has been noticed in urbanization and industrialisation in the state.
