In Gujarat, the state government has announced pay hike to about 1. 25 lakh fixed salaried employees in view of Golden Jubilee celebrations of the state. The hike in salary will come into force from tomorrow. AIR correspondent reports that the present pay hike ranges between 250 to 2,500 rupees. <br/>Meanwhile, the Congress party in the state has opposed the ruling BJP for the hi-fi celebrations of Golden Jubilee events. Talking to AIR correspondent, the leader in the State Assembly Mr. Shakti Singh Gohil accused the BJP government of breaching the state protocol but also for wasting huge amount of money from the state exchequer for the celebrations. <br/>
