<span style="color: #222222;">In Gujarat, Amdavad Municipal Corporation- AMC has slapped Rs. 5 lakh fine each to two private hospitals of the city. The fine has been imposed for breach of Memorandum of Understanding signed with the AMC for treatment of Covid-19 patients. According to official sources, the Bodyline hospital in the Paldi area has been fined for charging Rs. 4500 from a patient for Covid-19 treatment who was referred by AMC.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As per the agreement, the hospital cannot charge from a patient referred by AMC. Similarly, Artham hospital in Ambawadi area has been fined for admitting private patients on 50 percent beds reserved for Covid19 patients referred by AMC. The amount received as fine will be spent for Covid19 patients. In case of such violation of agreement again, the Municipal body can cancel the 'C' form registration of hospital which is required to operate.</span><br />
