In Gujarat, triangular contest is going to set as after the BJP and Congress, Gujarat Parivartan Party launched by former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel has also declared 63 candidates of the party late last night.

Gujarat Parivartan Party has left some seats for Sadbhavna Manch floated by rebel BJP MLA- Dr.Kanubhai Kalsaria, who had also declared its five candidates for Saurashtra Region.

Top leaders of the Congress, BJP and Gujarat Parivartan Party have filed their nominations for the first phase of polling in Gujarat. Leader of Congress Legislative Party Mr.Shaktisinh Gohil filed his nomination from Bhavangar Rural seat.

State Finance Minister Mr.Vajubhai Vala filed his nomination papers from Rajkot 2 seat while President of Gujarat Parivartan Party and former Chief Minister Mr.Keshubhai Patel filed his nominations papers from Visavadar seat in Junagadh district.

Party’s General Secretary Mr.Gordhan Zadafia filed his nomination papers from Gondal seat in Rajkot district, while former Agriculture Minster in Narendra Modi Government Mr.Bhupendra Sinh Chudasama has filed his nomination papers from Dholka Constituency.

Today is the last day of filing of nomination papers for the first phase of polling in 87 Assembly Constituencies in Saurashtra, South Gujarat and some parts of Ahmedabad district.
