Congress today said the GST regime is complicated as it has five slab of taxes. Briefing media in New Delhi, party spokesman Rajeev Gowda said, it should have had one rate and a deviation upwards or downwards instead of so many slabs. <br/><br/>Mr Gowda said the cesses included in the GST regime should be phased out in a time bound manner. He said, indirect taxes must be kept manageable, affordable and should not be inflationary.<br/><br/>He also services which impact common man should be kept low and there must be clarity if services will be taxed at different rates.
