Special session of Gujarat and Chhattisgarh Assemblies will be convened from tomorrow to ratify the Constitution Amendment Bill on Goods and Services Tax. In Gujarat, a two-day special session of the Assembly will be beginning tomorrow. Our correspondent reports that Constitution Amendment Bill on Goods and Service Tax (GST) will be introduced on Tuesday and the discussion and voting, if necessary, will take place on same day.<br/><br/>A one day special session of the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha will be convened tomorrow to ratify the GST Bill. A notification convening the session has been issued last week. <br/><br/>GST will be a comprehensive indirect tax on manufacture, sale and consumption of goods and services throughout the country to replace taxes levied by the central and state governments.<br/><br/>The One Hundred and Twenty-Second Constitution Amendment Bill, 2014 is proposes to be implemented from 1st April next year.
