Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said that the way Rahul Gandhi is raising the issue of GST makes him believe that the Congress Vice President has no understanding of GST. <br/><br/>Addressing a Press conference at BJP Media centre in Ahmedabad, Mr. Jaitley said that GST is the most beneficial tax regime for the country- which was praised by the entire world. He said that all Chief Ministers of Congress ruled state also agreed for the implementation of GST.'<br/><br/>Mr. Jaitley- who is also the BJP in charge of Gujarat elections said that the reforms in GST regime should not be linked with elections results. He said that GST is for long term and for the ease of trade and better taxation system. <br/><br/>Referring to the demonetization issue, Mr. Jaitley said that Government has achieved some basic goals through demonetization. He said that this was the first time that the government has dared to fight the black money in the country. He said that government also remained successful in stopping terror funding and increasing tax base. <br/><br/>On the issue of some caste leaders supporting the Congress party, Mr. Jaitley said that Congress is playing this dangerous and suicidal game because it had already lost Gujarat elections on development and leadership issues.<br/><br/>AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that Mr. Jaitley also participated in BJP's Sankalp Patra meeting- to finalize the party manifesto.
