The GST Council meeting to be held day after tomorrow will take important decisions on Integrated Goods and Services Tax refund and ease of doing business for small tax payers. <br/><br/>Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi who heads Group of Ministers constituted to resolve IT challenges in implementing GST, informed that structural changes will be announced in the upcoming meeting. <br/><br/>Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru on Wednesday after a meeting on GST related glitches, he informed that most of the IT related glitches are resolved and people filing returns are finding it a lot easier now to handle the system. He informed that the system can handle 80,000 returns in one hour, which will further be enhanced to 1,30,000 returns per hour in the days to come. <br/><br/>Mr. Sushil Modi disclosed that over 20 lakh traders who have not filed detailed returns on purchase and sales will be alerted through SMS to file detailed returns before the last date, which he clarified will not be extended. Infosys that has designed the portal will depute its technical personnel in all the states for assistance for smoother functioning of the portal.
