GST Council met to discuss administrative control issues

The Goods and Services Tax,GST Council today met in New Delhi and discussed the issues related to administrative control on assessees in the new tax regime. <br/><br/>The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. It also deliberated on finalising Central GST (CGST), Integrated GST (IGST) draft legislations and Compensation Law .<br/><br/>The finalisation of these laws will pave the way for introduction of GST legislations in the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament, which concludes on 16th of this month. The Council also will meet tomorrow.<br/><br/>The government is eager to pass pending GST bills and its rollout from first of April next year.<br/><br/>The Public works department has been asked to monitor and manage waterways and water bodies and keep the river mouths open to ensure water flow into the sea, Sand bags and poles to be kept ready in various places to attend to emergencies. <br/><br/>An advisory has been issued to stay indoors and keep away from electric wires, and move to relief centres when advised by officials.
