The Goods and Services Tax, GST Council today in its meeting in New Delhi deliberated on the issue of jurisdiction over assesses and draft model laws for implementation of the GST regime from April next year.<br/><br/>The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. It will also meet tomorrow to take a decision on the issue.<br/><br/>The GST Council, which has state representatives as members, will finalise the model Goods and Services Tax (GST) law, Integrated GST (IGST) law and compensation law. The finalisation of these laws, will pave the way for their introduction in the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament, which ends on December 16.
