The total revenue collected under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) kept falling for the second straight month to 80 thousand 808 crore rupees in November from 83 thousand 346 crore crore in October.<br/><br/>The GST collection for the month of July was over 95 thousand crore rupees, while for August, it was more than 91 thousand crore rupees. September's indirect tax collection stood at over 92 thousand crore rupees. <br/><br/>The Finance Ministry said, of the 80 thousand 808 crore rupees, 13 thousand 89 crore rupees have been collected as Central GST, 18 thousand 650 crore as State GST, 41 thousand 270 crore as Integrated GST and 7 thousand 798 crore rupees as compensation cess.<br/><br/>Over 99 lakh taxpayers have been registered under GST so far till 25th December of which 16.60 lakh are composition dealers which are required to file returns every quarter. Over 53 lakh returns have been filed for the month of November till 25th December.
