GSLV- D3 launch fails as it tumble down after five minutes

India's quest to achieve independence in cryogenic launch technology failed on Thursday, with indigenous cryogenic engine in the GSLV D3 which blasted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, at Sriharikota under performing. The GSLV mission failed as the launch vehicle tumbled five minutes after lift off. The ISRO Chairman is to make a statement at around 6 p.m. on Thursday evening on the reasons for the mission's failure.<br/>
