The Ambassador of India to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mr. M K Lokesh has said that India and UAE are the growing economies and if both join hands together, the prospects growth will be tremendous. Speaking at a function last evening after opening a representative office of Canara Bank in Sharjah, the Ambassador said that India and UAE are the top trading partners and a large number of India Diaspora lives in the country, which are the important ingredients for growth. Mr. Lokesh said, Indian business entities needed to offer good partnerships in United Arab Emirates as UAE has large investible funds and India is the country where investments can attract excellent returns.Speaking on the occasion the Consul General of India at Dubai, Sanjay Verma urged Indian Banking industry present in UAE to educate Indians living in the country about different aspects of the banking.Chairman and Managing Director of Canara Bank, A.C. Mahajan and president of Indian business and Professional council, Sharjah Sudesh agrawal were among large number of dignitaries present on the occasion.Canara Bank is the fifth Indian bank opened its office in UAE during past weeks.
