As a follow-up to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's exhortation to Secretaries to come up with ideas for transformative change in various areas of governance, a Group of Secretaries presented their ideas and suggestions on Swasth Bharat, Shikshit Bharat. <br/><br/>Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Manohar Parrikar and Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Shri Arvind Panagariya were present. After the presentation, several members of the audience gave their suggestions and observations on the subject. So far, a total of four Groups of Secretaries have made presentations to the Prime Minister.<br/> <br/>The Prime Minister had recently set up eight groups for focussed attention to various sectors. The subjects on which the groups have been set up are good governance, employment generation strategies, farmer-centric initiatives in agriculture and allied sectors, education and health, innovative budgeting and effective implementation, accelerated growth with inclusion and equity, Swachch Bharat and Ganga rejuvenation' and energy efficiency and conservation.
