A group of probationers of Indian Defence Accounts Service, Indian Civil Accounts Service and Indian Post and Telecommunication Accounts and Financial Service today called on President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Mr Mukherjee said, the country is striving to solve the problems of poverty, ignorance and having access to modern amenities of life for a vast section of people. <br/><br/>He said, civil servants can be a very effective tool for the transformation of society. He said, the probationers had the crucial responsibility of ensuring financial management, proper accounting and proper utilization of public funds.
