Group matches of the Women's Junior Hockey World Cup began in Monchengladbach, Germany today . In pool B, Argentina beat Canada 4-0, while South Africa drew with China 3-3. In pool A match, United States beat Korea 4-1 and Netherlands was leading 1-0 against Ghana in the first half when report last came in. An 18-member Indian team led by defender Sushila Chanu is participating in the championship. They begin their campaign in Pool C against Australia shortly. India will play New Zealand tomorrow, followed by their last pool match against Russia on Tuesday.Top two teams from each pool will enter the quarterfinals. The semi-finals will be played on August 2, with the final scheduled for August 4.
