Nation will celebrate 69th Republic Day tomorrow. The main function will be organized at Rajpath in the national capital where President Ram Nath Kovind will take the salute of the parade. <br/><br/>The leaders of 10 ASEAN countries will be the Chief Guests in this year's parade. <br/><br/>The ASEAN flag will fly in the sky over Rajpath for the first time this Republic Day. Five Mi-17 V5 helicopters of the Indian Air Force will precede the parade commander and the lead helicopter will carry the national flag.The second helicopter will carry ASEAN flag and the other three choppers would carry the flags of the Army, Navy and the Air Force.<br/><br/>The tableauxs of fourteen states and nine Central Ministries will participate in the parade showcasing varied themes starting from country's rich cultural heritage, flora and fauna and socio-economic development to progress of the nation. <br/><br/>Operation Clean Money, Khelo India and ASEAN-India are some of the themes of the tableaux. <br/><br/>For the first time All India Radio will be part of the parade, showcasing AIR's journey of more than eight decades in the domain of public service, promotion and preservation of socio-cultural and linguistic heritage. <br/><br/>AlR will be leading a series of 23 tableaux during the Parade and will feature Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly address Mann Ki Baat. <br/><br/>AIR Signature Tune, Vande Mataram and other musical instruments will be played while AIR tableau move on at Rajpath<br/>The national capital has been brought under a ground-to-air security cover in view of the Republic Day celebrations. <br/><br/>Thousands of armed personnel have been keeping a tight vigil for Republic Day in Delhi and in border areas of the city to ensure a smooth passage of the celebrations tomorrow. <br/><br/>The entire central and New Delhi region will have nearly 50,000 security personnel drawn from the Delhi Police and the central security forces. <br/><br/>Several security layers have been put in place and Delhi Police personnel along with paramilitary and NSG commandos have been deployed. <br/><br/>CCTV cameras have been installed and control rooms have been set up to monitor the feed from the cameras.<br/><br/>The Republic Day Parade will start at 9.50 AM from Vijay Chowk and proceed to the Red Fort. <br/><br/>Delhi traffic Police has made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the Parade along the route. <br/><br/>Traffic from Vijay Chowk to India Gate on Rajpath has been closed from 3 PM this evening and no traffic will be allowed till the parade is over tomorrow. Similarly, traffic will not be allowed at Rafi Marg, Janpath and Man Singh Road from 11PM tonight till the parade is over tomorrow. <br/><br/>Entry and exit at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro Stations will remain closed from 6 AM to 12 Noon tomorrow. While entry and exit at Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg will remain closed from 8.45 AM to 12 noon .
