In Kashmir valley, security has been further tightened following grenade attacks on two CRPF camps in interior Srinagar city last evening. Militants had lobbed a grenade on a CRPF camp in Khanyar area at 8.30 P.M. last evening. However, there was no casualty. Within ten minutes of the attack, grenade was lobbed on another CRPF camp in a nearby hotel in the area which too missed the intended target. The security has been further tightened in Srinagar and other towns of the valley to foil any attempt of the militants to cause disruption during Independence Day celebrations.
