Steel and Mines Minister Narendra Singh Tomar today said Greenfield steel plants will be set-up through Special Purpose Vehicle to boost steel production in the country. Talking to media in New Delhi Mr Tomar said, his ministry and its public sector undertakings will collaborate with Chharisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand and Karnataka governments to establish steel plants in the first phase. Mr Tomar said government will soon come out with National policy to increase private sector participation in mineral exploration.
