The Court of Special Judge, Assam has issued summons to 26 public servants, including eight IAS officers, who were given clean chit by the State Government in connection with the Green House scam in 2009.All the 26 accused has been asked to appear before the court on the 30th of this month. The Government had earlier denied prosecution sanctions against these public servants as sought by Chief Minister’s Vigilance Cell probing the scam, which had apparently made them immune to prosecution.The court order delivered yesterday in Guwahati also termed the development as not tenable in the eyes of law. It rejected the request of the investigating agency which had made prayer to discharge the 26 public servants
