<span style="color: #222222;">The death toll from a series of fires sweeping Greece climbed to 50 today with a Red Cross official reporting the discovery of 26 more bodies at a seaside resort. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to the Red Cross, 26 more bodies were recovered in the village of Mati today which is at the centre of the disaster. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The authorities had previously announced 24 deaths from wildfires around the Athens region. Authorities said at least 104 people including children were injured in the fire. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A government spokesman said, hundreds of firefighters are battling the blazes and people have left their homes near capital Athens. Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said, all emergency forces have been mobilised and state of emergency declared in the Attica region. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The government has asked other European countries for helicopters and additional firefighters to help tackle the fires. </span>
