Great potential in Mumbai for cruise tourism: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister of shipping Nitin Gadkari today said that there is a great potential in Mumbai for cruise tourism. While addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of Mumbai International Cruise Terminal, he said that around 1.5 lakh youth could get employment through this project.<br/>' <br/>Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis thanked Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for changing the Eastern sea front completely. He expressed hope that the initiative will lead to increase in Maharashtra's GDP. <br/>'<br/>The new International Cruise Terminal with an estimated cost of Rs. 300 Crore is expected to be completed by June 2019. According to authorities, the terminal will remain operational for 365 days. <br/><br/>It will also provide recreation, leisure and retail shopping facilities for local citizens. In future, Mumbai port is projected to handle 80% of India's cruise passengers. It will also increase revenue to the port.<br/>
