Granted visa, Amir to resume career in New Zealand

Pakistan's spot-fixing tainted fast bowler Mohammad Amir will resume his international cricket career against New Zealand. Immigration officials in Wellington today granted him a visa following a five-year ban and jail time for indulging in spot-fixing during the 2010 tour of England. His comeback to international cricket was dependent on getting a visa. Pakistan will play New Zealand in three Twenty-20 internationals starting in Auckland on January 15th and three one-day internationals later in the month.
