<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a grand Shikara Rally in connection with the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav was held in world-famous Dal Lake in Srinagar on Friday. The rally was flagged off by the Advisor to Lt Governor, Baseer Ahmed Khan from Kashmir International Convention Centre (KICC) lawns on the banks of Dal Lake which culminated at Nehru Park. As many as 100 Shikaras were part of the rally.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, Vice Chairman Lakes & Water Ways Authority, Director Tourism Kashmir, Director Rural Development Kashmir, Director School Education Kashmir, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal  Corporation and other senior officers participated in the rally. Mayor SMC Junaid Azim Mattu, DDC Chairmen, members of District Development Councils and large number of people also took part in the Shikara rally.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A cultural event was organized at Nehru Park during which variety of cultural programmes were presented to mark the first leg of the nationwide event India@75 for celebrating 75 years of Independence of India.
